This week I haven't been blogging to catch up on a new project, or rather, an ongoing project.
When Jacob was born I started a family website for the 3 of us, With love from the Perkins. On this website I would post several entries a month about Jacob. What he was doing now, tracking his growth, and posting pictures along the way.
Once Travis and I separated, I was consumed with being a mom, working, and just simply living life that I never tended to the website anymore. More or less it was because it wasn't about our family anymore, our family was broken.
When Travis passed I started this blog, Grace By Faith, to document life after a tragedy. This blog was to include all things about being a mom, finding the new normal life, finding hope in chaos, finding a new love, home projects, and crafts. One of the pages included in this blog was "Mamma's Journal" it was a complied list of all the entries I made to our old family website. I never added to it, until April of this year.
This week I have taken that page and made it into a blog for Jacob. I am making it a point to write more on this blog to him/for him and take more pictures of along the way. I am sure he thinks I take plenty of pictures and that the is permanently attached to a camera. I have gone back and added pictures for most stories but I have not altered the stories at all. They are exactly as they were on the original website.
You will see a big gap in dates. From November 2009 to April 2012. Our life, Jacob's life, changed so much and so many things happened in that time frame, most of which are blogged about in this blog. This week I will write a rather lengthy post to Jacob on his blog about life during those months, just to catch things up. Then, we will continue to more forward, as we have done so gracefully. There are so many pictures missing from these months, I do have them, they just aren't posted on the site. I may add a few pages to do a few photo dumps of those months and moments along the way! So keep checking back for those along the way, as they will take a lot of time and organization!
