This is a hard one for me. In the last year I have lost a few great people from my life, and although I know they will remain in my heart forever & that God put them in my life for a reason, my heart still hurts to think that things aren't ...the way they use to be.
As I grow older I realize more and more the true meaning of family & friendships, and the real hurt of just walking away. Sometimes trying harder, means greater pain and trying less means you don't care. In any relationship, it takes two, two hearts going in the same direction. I have failed over and over with family and friends, but those that know me, know that I will not let that change my direction.
I don't give up. I never have. I am a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend, etc. I wear many hats. I walk many walks. I may fail at times wearing any of these hats, but I know my walks are strong, my words are heard, and my heart is full of love for only those that love me back.
I am not giving up, just realizing that some people will just remain in my heart.
