If you have never experienced ICE! at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas, you are missing one of the most amazing displays of children's art there is out there!
I have made it a tradition to take Jacob every year. The first year we went it was the Grinch and the whole Whooville gang! We spent the whole day at the Gaylord; breakfast with the Grinch, pictures with Santa, building gingerbread houses, going through the ICE! exhibit and exploring the miles of Christmas decor the Gaylord displays every year. Last year was Charlie Brown, and we were too sick and too scared of Santa to enjoy the experience. This year was Shrek and it was adorable.
After we made our quick walk through the exhibit (it is unbelievably cold in there!), Jacob attempted to slid down the ice slide. His little hiney got stuck and he couldn't figure out how to scoot down so the nice little fella working the slide had to get him down.
This was our way of kicking off the first day of 2012!
