Happy 3rd Birthday, Jacob!

I have to choke back tears just to type "3rd Birthday"!

I cannot believe my sweet little baby is already a 3 year old toddler! Let me just say: "We Jacob survived the terrible two's!"  Phew! I am hoping that year 3 is just as fun as 1 & 2! Challenges and all, there is no greater joy than being a mommy!

This birthday was harder for me than even the first, because I always said that by the time Jacob was 3 Travis and I would be pregnant with our 2nd one. Obviously that is not the case, and for that reason the water works were in full effect all weekend!

We celebrated with family and friends at the Forney Community Park on Saturday! Swings, slides, basketball, donuts, cupcakes, cars, cars, and more cars. Just a few of Jacob's favorite things! The party didn't end there, after the park celebration we headed home to celebrate with our close family over a BBQ lunch and more playing! Sunday, the date of his actual "birth"day we took him to pick out his own birthday present and use his gift cards.....$160 worth of cars later we were done with our birthday shopping extravaganza! We also let him choose what we would be eating for birthday dinner and his menu consisted of: cake, chicken nuggets, french fries, sprite, apples; in no particular order. I'll give you one guess at where this delicious menu was located? If you guess McDonald's...ding, ding, ding you are correct!

Monday morning was very rough for us. Jacob wanted nothing to do with school after all the birthday fun! And who could blame him? I wasn't ready for work either! Leaving him kicking and screaming at school was not my idea of starting off the week!

So glad he had a great birthday weekend and so lucky to be his mommy!

I love you little man, and I am so grateful God gave me you! I know your daddy is smiling down on you every day, and so proud of the little man you are becoming!
