Hello, 2013. I am so glad to finally meet you.
I typically don't make a long list of resolutions from year to year, only because the practical side of my brain reminds me that life is full of curve balls and you never know what is to come! I hate to make promises that I can't keep and for some reason resolutions always seem to feel like broken promises.
This year I have decided to jot down a few,
Date weekend with my husband at least once a month.
Go on a Jacob adventure, at least once a week.
Family dinners, with the whole family, weekly.
Workout 3 times a week, that is practical, just do it.
Cook at home, 5 nights a week, stick to it.
Read a devotional every night with Jay.
Read a devotional every night with Jacob.
Slow down, enjoy life.
Take a picture a day.
Video more of Jake.
Take a family picture at least once a week.
Less TV, more activity.
No TV at dinner time, we are very guilty of this in 2012.
Dinner at the dinner table, not the coffee table.
Family vacation, a must in 2013.
Get Jake back to a normal/healthy schedule.
Breakdown when I need to, stop holding everything in. It is time to finally grieve.
Don't take on too much, one log, maybe two in the fire is fine for now.
Spend wisely, save greatly.
Continue to dream big.
I pray for God to use me in 2013 in a way that shines. I want to pave the roads in glitter and fill hearts with joy in 2013. I want to be the light, the little light that shines! I want to spread more of the word and less words.
I know that God has many plans for my life, he has already used me and my struggles to testify to some of the broken. I want to open my heart fully and let the Lord in....
